Health is the foundation to potential–the big picture being physical, mental, emotional, spiritual and financial–The microcosm being each of our cells need specific nutrients to function optimally so that our organs have what they need to do what they need to do, so that our body systems can each do their part, and we who inhabit our bodies can experience greater energy, improved mood, clarity of mind, sense of well being, strength and being our better selves for ourselves and those who we live and work with, expressing each of our God-given talents in the best way we know how, and doing even better at our part of making our world a better place.
A healthy diet rich in vegetables, fruits and other whole foods is key, as is exercise, stress reduction, sense of purpose, belongingness and a host of other big picture and daily health habits. For a variety of reasons including, less nutritional value in today’s foods, long transit times, growing exposure to toxins, chemicals and a host of environmental stressors which make our body work much harder to do what it does, the importance of supplementation is becoming more mainstream and is acknowledged by such bodies as USDA, American Medical Association, NHANES, and American Dietetic Association.
